A stitch pattern that can be worked in reverse using circular needles, resulting in an identical appearance on both sides. Extremely simple to execute.

  • Cast on a multiple of 12 stitches.
  • 12-round repeat.

    • Round 1: * Knit 1, purl 5, knit 5, purl 1; repeat from * to end.
    Round 2: * Knit 2, purl 4, knit 4, purl 2; repeat from * to end.
    Round 3: * Knit 3, purl 3 , knit 3 , purl 3; repeat from * to end.
    Round 4: * Knit 4, purl 2, knit 2, purl 4; repeat from * to end.
    Round 5: * Knit 5, purl 1, knit 1, purl 5; repeat from * to end.
    Round 6: * Knit 6, purl 6; repeat from * to end.
    Round 7: As Round 5.
    Round 8: As Round 4.
    Round 9: As Round 3.
    Round 10: As Round 2.
    Round 11: As Round 1.
    Round 12: * Purl 6, knit 6; repeat from * to end.
    Repeat Rounds 1 - 12.
